Reviving the art of appreciation

From birth to the age of 6, children have a great sense of observation, curiosity, and imitation which enables them to learn and adapt to the world around them. Even so, why do you think some children lag behind when it comes to their confidence and self-esteem?

Irrespective of their age or the task that they are trying to achieve, humans do need a little boost to do better. In order to get the best of anyone, it is important to show confidence in whatever one is trying to achieve, and that can be done through a few simple words of appreciation and encouraging behavior.

So let’s bring the art of appreciation back. You can do this anytime during the day!

  • Today, make sure that everyone at home takes turns genuinely appreciating something about everyone.
  • And, remember to elaborate. For example, “Simi, I appreciate you for doing the dishes for me. It was really helpful” It’s that simple!

Remember – A person’s greatest emotional need is to feel appreciated. Go ahead and make that a habit!
