It takes two to tango

While children do need time to play alone and with other children without adult intervention, research shows that playtime with parents is also important.

How does this help?

Children crave time with their parents. It makes them feel special, and this boosts the emotional well-being of the child(ren)

Parents are encouraged to find time to spend playing with their kids on a regular basis. This should include one-to-one with each child and group time with all of the adults and kids in the home. We have one quick game that can teach patience, problem solving, and creativity! And it’s simple too – here’s how it goes:

  • Sit back to back with a partner, feet out in front and arms locked at the elbow.
  • The task is to stand up together without letting go of your hands and without touching the floor.
  • Up the challenge, if you want – try it in trios!

Go for it – and boost that well-being of yours!
