3-2-1 : How aware are you?

In this busy world of ours, the mind is constantly pulled from pillar to post, scattering our thoughts and emotions and leaving us feeling stressed, high-strung, and at times quite anxious. But it is essential for our well-being to take a few minutes each day to cultivate mental pace and achieve a positive mind-body balance…

So, making full use of the time available, gather your family around for a mindful awareness experience :

  • Settle down in a comfortable position and gently close your eyes, breathe naturally, and focus all your attention on your breathing ( 3 minutes, use a timer)
  • Notice the 3 things you see
  • Notice the 2 sounds you hear
  • Notice the 1 thing you smell
  • Exchange your responses at the end

The cultivation of moment-by-moment awareness of our surrounding environment is a practice that helps us better cope with the difficult thoughts and feelings that cause us stress and anxiety in everyday life.

Finding ways to cultivate mental peace and achieve a positive mind-body balance is essential for our well-being and happiness. It may take some time and effort, but the benefits are well worth it in the long run for both you and your family.

Cheers!
